Return & Refund Policy – Selected Tile
At Selected Tile, we take pride in providing premium tile, porcelain, and natural stone products. Due to the nature of these materials and freight logistics, returns and refunds are governed by the policy outlined below. By placing an order, you agree to the following terms.
1. Return Window
Return requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of delivery.
Requests made after this period are not eligible for return or refund.
2. Return Eligibility & Condition
To be considered for return:
Products must be new, unused, uninstalled, and unaltered
Items must be in original, unopened packaging
Packaging must be in original physical condition
Partial box returns are not accepted
Returns must consist of full, complete quantities only
Items that show signs of use, installation, repackaging, or box damage will not qualify for return.
3. Return Authorization (RMA Required)
All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) prior to shipping.
Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused or returned at the customer’s expense.
RMA instructions will be provided once your return request is reviewed and approved.
4. Shipping, Restocking & Refund Processing
For all approved returns:
Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility
A 20% restocking fee applies to all returns
Original shipping, handling, and freight charges are non-refundable
Refunds are processed after inspection and approval at our warehouse
All applicable fees are deducted from the final refund total
Refunds are issued to the original method of payment.
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for return:
Sample orders
Special-order and custom products
Opened or installed materials
Partial box quantities
Returns submitted outside the return window
Unauthorized returns shipped without RMA
6. Natural Stone & Thickness Variations
Natural stone is a product of nature and may vary in:
Thickness
Color tone
Veining
Texture and surface structure
These variations are considered normal characteristics of natural materials and are accepted at the time of purchase. Thickness variation does not qualify as a defect.
7. Damage, Shortage & Incorrect Shipment Claims
All damage, shortage, or incorrect shipment claims must be reported within 3 business days of delivery and must include supporting photographs of:
The product
Packaging
Pallet or skid
Breakage of up to 5% is considered acceptable within freight industry standards. Claims reported after 3 business days or after installation begins cannot be accepted.
8. Installation Acceptance
Once material has been installed, it is considered fully accepted and is no longer eligible for return, refund, or replacement. Customers are responsible for inspecting all products prior to installation.
9. Freight Deliveries & Failed Deliveries
Selected Tile is not responsible for:
Carrier delays
Missed delivery appointments
Refused deliveries
Incorrect addresses provided by the customer
Any redelivery, reconsignment, storage, or return freight charges are the responsibility of the customer.
10. Disputes & Chargebacks
By completing a purchase, you agree to follow the terms of this policy. Returns and refunds processed according to this policy are not subject to chargebacks. Selected Tile reserves the right to contest disputed transactions and take appropriate action when necessary.
11. Return Activity Review
To ensure fair use of our services, Selected Tile reserves the right to review return activity and limit future transactions when necessary.
