Terms & Conditions – Selected Tile
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Selected Tile website and the purchase of any products from us. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.
Natural Variation Disclaimer (Color, Shade & Appearance)
Many Selected Tile products are natural or handcrafted. As a result, variations in color, shade, veining, texture, and surface movement are inherent characteristics of these materials. These natural variations are not considered defects.
Selected Tile is not responsible for differences between samples and delivered material, including variations between individual tiles.
Product Acceptance & Inspection
All questions regarding product appearance, quality, suitability, or design must be resolved before installation. Installation of any material constitutes full acceptance of the product.
Customers are responsible for inspecting all materials upon delivery. Any claims regarding product acceptability must be submitted within 7 days of delivery and before installation.
Quantity & Measurement Responsibility
Selected Tile does not guarantee customer-provided quantity calculations. The customer assumes all responsibility for determining proper quantities, including waste and overage.
Selected Tile is not liable for shortages, overages, or additional material required due to incorrect calculations.
Product Availability
All products are subject to availability at the time of order processing. If a product becomes unavailable, we reserve the right to:
• Cancel the order
• Offer a substitute product
• Adjust delivery timelines
Customers will be notified prior to any material changes.
Pricing & Payment Terms
Prices are subject to change without prior notice. All unit pricing and order totals are confirmed prior to processing.
For special-order and custom products:
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to initiate production
• The remaining balance must be paid in full before shipment
• Special and custom orders cannot be canceled or returned
Limitation of Liability & Warranty Disclaimer
Selected Tile disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Selected Tile is not liable for:
• Indirect or consequential damages
• Installation costs
• Project delays
• Labor charges
• Loss of use
• Additional freight costs
• Contractor expenses
Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
Normal Wear, Maintenance & Grout Selection
Tile surfaces may experience normal wear, scratching, or surface changes over time depending on use and maintenance. Customers are responsible for proper sealing, cleaning, and maintenance.
Grout selection and installation decisions are the responsibility of the customer and installer.
Force Majeure
Selected Tile is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
• Natural disasters
• Government actions
• Labor disruptions
• Port congestion
• Transportation shortages
• Supplier delays
Performance timelines will be extended for the duration of such events.
Assignment
Orders and agreements may not be transferred or assigned by the customer without written consent from Selected Tile.
Governing Terms & Modifications
All sales are governed exclusively by these Terms & Conditions, along with our:
• Return Policy
• Privacy Policy
• Shipping Policy
Any modification must be made in writing and approved by Selected Tile.
Product Safety & Regulatory Notice
Certain building materials may contain naturally occurring elements or compounds subject to state or federal safety disclosures. Customers are responsible for reviewing applicable warnings and regulations related to material use and installation.
